I joined BioReliance, now a part of Invitrogen, in 2004. Before that, I'd spent over 20 years in the Electronics industry, working in Production Management. When I first started, I was the Support Services Manager across the Stirling and Glasgow facilities, handling the storage and distribution of laboratory supplies and client sample material, as well as document control. A year later, the purchasing function came under my remit, then this year I started my current role and my responsibilities increased even more. I've really enjoyed my time with Invitrogen. The working environment here is really open and encouraging – you really feel that your skills and ideas can make a difference. It's refreshing to work in an organisation that actively encourages their employees to be innovative, helping individuals to develop and realise their ambitions.
