I've been with Invitrogen since September 2003. After university, I started in an Internal Technical Support role in the Life Science division of a major distributor of lab supplies. After several years, I moved within the company to an external sales role.

A year later, I was offered a position as Technical sales Rep with Invitrogen. I leapt at the chance. Now, I present new products and technologies to key customers and host seminars, which means close collaboration with our technical specialists. Key account management is very important too. The more we understand them, the better for all concerned. Keeping track of is very important too is administration and forming accurate forecasts. Then, of course, we have to meet them.

There's always somebody at Invitrogen who can help you, which makes for a very supportive and constructive atmosphere. Everyone I deal with does their job in the best way. This is reflected in our customers' perception of us.

It can be tough sometimes, as we're totally sales and results focused but, for me, that makes life interesting.
