I started working with Invitrogen in 2002 as a Process Support Engineer. Before that, I'd worked in the semiconductor industry - so it made an interesting change. I worked on a variety of projects to improve manufacturing processes and provided general support to the manufacturing team. In 2005 I was promoted to my current role, giving me the chance to take more responsibility and make more of an impact. It was exactly the challenge I was looking for - proving Invitrogen's commitment to people who want to develop their careers. Invitrogen's still a young company with a lot of growing still to do and that's why there's so many opportunities for those willing to go that extra yard. For me, you can't beat being part of an organisation that motivates you to achieve success, then rewards you when you do.
