I've spent fourteen years with Invitrogen, but in operational positions within various different departments - customer service, planning, logistics and manufacturing. I've moved around within the company, but only now am I involved in the commercial side of the business - it's definitely a challenge, but it's one I'm enjoying.

There are around 200 accounts in my territory, so I've a busy time keeping in contact with them all, making sure I know what they're up to, what they need and how we can support them. I've got to make sure that we've got full details on all of our clients, new and existing, so that we always know what new products might help them. Although I do go and visit clients occasionally, the role's office-based, but I get to speak to so many different people everyday that's it's really interesting, and always challenging.

I'm new to sales, but I know the company very well after fourteen years. It's certainly an organisation that recognises your talents, develops your skills and helps you take your career to new heights.
